Don't people realise that people run lvl4's to make money so they can supply themselves with PVP ships? Remove lvl4's from Empire or nerfing them will nerf the EVE economy. People just won't PVP because they cannot afford to loose even a cheaply fitted Cruiser.

No one has still put up a good reason to nerf level 4's in high sec.
All people have done is point out more rewards are needed in low sec/0.0. That said, faction gear is from low sec and its the lvl4 mission runners that pay the ridiculous amounts to buy that faction gear found in low sec. Lvl4's drive the economy, remove them from high sec and the entire EVE economy will fall on its a@@.

yeah, well, all of these Caldari Navy cruise missile launchers you just bought today for your CNR was found in a wreck of one of countles npc frigates wreck. true story.
I'm talking the faction gear that sells for billions. Not to mention who would or could afford to buy something like a CNR or Golem if you removed lvl 4's.

Then they can grind the reduced in reward L4s in highsec in peace.
I'm not forcing my playstyle on anyone, you are free to grind all you like. If you find missions fun, then by all means continue to grind the much reduced in reward new missions in highsec, they'll still have the same rats, same difficulty, if not the same reward.
The reward shouldnt matter right? Since you're doing it for "fun".
You are forcing your play style and ignoring the dire impact of lowering the reward of level 4's on the entire EVE economy.
You clearly live in 0.0 space and have forgotten what its like to start out in EVE. I personally would like to move to 0.0 (as would the 2 others in our corp) but I need cash and to get cash I need to run Lvl4's to get it. 0.0 is like the old boys club of EVE and if your a small corp of 3 players and a couple of alts unless you have piles to of cash to pay your way into 0.0 or allot of time to dedicate towards making contacts in 0.0 and spending the greater part of your spare time in 0.0 its damned hard to break into.
The answer to the problem here is not nerfing lvl4's in anyway but increase the rewards of 0.0 and increase the rewards of faction warfare which is the introduction to PVP allot of newer players are getting. 0.0 needs to be easier to get into, the rewards more immediate for players with not allot of play time.

How do people afford those 1b + faction bits of loot? Through running lvl4's. How else can they afford them? How do the majority of traders make there money? lvl 4 loot sold to them in buy orders. How do industrialists get all there resources? lvl 4 generated money/resources. Reducing the rewards of lvl4's would change allot of the dynamics of EVE right down to what ships people would train for. I doubt you'd see any newer players aiming for the more expensive T2 ships or buying named T1 gear.
I do agree that more should be done to encourage people to get into 0.0.

Factional warfare should NOT give any rewards. It's weekend pvp, and pvp for fun. Fun is the reward. For monetary rewards, you need to risk more than a T1 destroyer.
I think it should. Its weekend PVP but sometimes its the only thing I have time for. Its easy and accessible. Yeah, it might be a mess and clusterf*ck but for people who cannot dedicate allot of time to EVE its perfect for there PVP fit. Its not about the risk vs reward for some people. Its time vs reward. I wish some of you more dedicated players could see that.

If I had to mine to make cash I'd close my subscription.
